2007 in a nutshell

It is amazing to me how fast time flies by! Where did 2007 go?

It was a busy year for us. We were able to spend quite a bit of time in Utah
this year visiting family and friends. Grandma Dorothy had surgery the end of Feb. to remove a cancerous tumor in her lung. It was a very hard surgery for her and she ended up spending 6 weeks in the hospital. The Dr. say that she is Cancer free and we pray that it stays that way. We were able to go our and help/support our family for a few weeks.
We put our house on the market in April with hopes of moving back to Utah to be closer to our family and friends.

We made some new friends this year. Sara, Tim and Nolan live around the corner from us and we have known them for a couple of years. But this year we got to spend more time with them and they have become very dear friends to us.
The kids play well together and Sara is my scrapbooking buddy!

Kimberly just loves Nolan, she says she is going to get married to him. She is so funny.

The end of May when the kids got out of school we headed back to Utah and spent 6 weeks there. My mom had surgery and they found cancerous fibroids. She went though radiation for 6 weeks and they have said that they have gotten all. They will keep a close eye on her to make sure it doesn't come back. Please keep her in your prayers that it is all gone.
We had our fist trip to the ER this summer with Kimberly. Little stinker fell off of Russ' shoulders and landed on her face. It cracked her brow bone and gave her a nasty black eye. But all in all she was fine!

I couldn't help myself when I found this shirt. It says: I do all my own stunts! LOL
We were able to go on a road trip with Kevin and Jenn to Montana to visit our friends Chad and Lucy. It was a fun adult weekend!! We had lots of fun! My favorite part of the trip was floating the river on tubes I only fell off once, but I was able to save my drink LOL.

Brooke got to have her birthday party in Utah this year! She loves being able to celebrate with all of her family. It was fun to have everyone there.

We got to spend some time with the Carrie and her family. Here is Abi and Brennen.

Brian had just left for Iraq for 1 year. Please keep him and their family in your prayers.

So we came back home and the kids got ready to start school in Aug. Russell is a sophomore this year. Brooke is in kindergarten and Kimberly is in preschool.

We took our house off the market and decided to wait a little while until the market picks up.
Brooke started Girl Scouts this year! She is a Daisy scout and mom is the Co Leader of the Troop. We have 9 darling girls in our troop.
In Sept we got a new puppy. His name is Brutus and he is a funny little guy. Roxy has been enjoying her new friend.

Oct was fun, it seemed like we had lots of Halloween parties to go this year. It was so much fun. Brooke was a Unicorn and Kimberly was Piglet. And Russell, well.........he is just 15 LOL.

Trick or Treating with friends.
We were able to go back to Utah again in Nov. to surprise my Dad for his birthday! That was lots of fun. We were also there to celebrate Nevaeh's 1'st birthday!

We brought my mom back home with us and she got to visit for 2 weeks. Then 2 days later Kendra came out for Thanksgiving and we were lucky enough to have her visit for two weeks as well.

On Dec. 2 Russ, Russell and I did the Tucson Marathon. We did the 1/2 marathon which is 13.1 miles!

Russ ran it in 2 hrs. and 21 mins. Russell and I walked it. It was a lot of work but it was fun. And we plan on doing it again soon.

So there you have our year in a nut shell.............. OK it's a big nut shell but what can you do!

My Surprise

So the Friday after Christmas around noon, Russ comes in and says "You're not in charge of dinner tonight" I said Ok and went on about what I was doing. Later I started wondering why? Is he tired of Ham, it has been four days of ham..... ham sandwiches, ham and potatoes, ham omelets LOL.
Anyway the day goes by and he says that he is taking the girls for a bit and to enjoy my time alone. (Time to myself??? What is that?) So I sat down on the couch and watched a little TV while they were gone.
When they came home I heard the 3 of them in the garage and then a knock at the door.
So I opened the door and to my surprise each of the girls had a big bouquet of flowers for me and dad had dinner (Chinese take out for us and McDonald's for the girls) and movies too! Our special date night! So we ate dinner and then we watched Evan Almighty. It was a fun night for all.

Christmas Day

We slept in until 8:00 on Christmas morning. The girls were so excited that Santa had come. When they work up we played with all of their santa toys then we had breakfast and went back to opening the prestents. It was so much fun to just hang and play with everything.

The girls each got a big stuffed pokemon toy. It surprised me how much fun they had with them.

Kimberly's washer from Grandpa and Grandma Eye.

Kimberly was full of Hugs and Kisses on Christmas. Everytime anyone opened a present she would run over and give them a hug and kiss. It was so sweet.

My cute shirt from my hubby.
The girls playing with polly pockets

Kimberly was so afraid that Santa would forget to put Chocolate in her stocking. It was so funny when she opened her stocking to find a bunch of chocolate. So far she has managed to eat all of hers and a little of eveyone elses.

Kimberly cooking in her new kitchen.

Santa Made It!

Brooke asked for a Gameboy DS and a Belt.

Santa brought them an Easy Bake Oven.

Kimberly asked for a house and a bed for her baby.

Christmas eve

Here are a few pictures from Christmas eve.
The Girls opened their Christmas PJ's and then
we watched Polar Express before going to bed.

On Christmas eve morning the girls got to open 1 present,

it was a game for the family to play. We had lots of fun hanging

out listening to Christmas music and eating goodies.

Merry Christmas!

All of the kids have grown so much over the past year. Russell has grown up so much! He is so tall and handsome. The girls are beautiful bundles of joy. Our family is so blessed.

Both girls were so excited to see Santa this year. Kimberly was not too sure about sitting on his lap, but with a little bribery (the elefun game) she jumped right up on his lap and told him what she wanted.

We were getting ready to take Russell to the airport and we let him open one before he left. The girls picked out one they wanted to open too. Sorry girls just 2 more days.
